Last week the Res Club coordinated Arts Week for Semester One, and it was packed with activities! On Monday, the outdoor screen was set up in the quad and residents were treated to a night of short films under the starts, followed by a screening of cult classic, Pulp Fiction. An awesome (and perhaps gorey) way to kick off the week!
Tuesday was all about food, with an English themed dinner containing all things British! After dinner, for those who hadn’t had their fill there was International Food Night. Some of our international residents treated us to their favourite local dishes, which went down a treat!
Wednesday continued the food trend, this time with a wine and cheese night. Beautiful ballads performed by some our our residents set the tone for the evening, with a lovey night had by all.
Thursday the ballads continued, but were dispersed through many other acts as part of Trinity’s Got Talent, our resident talent night. We had mostly vocalists performing, but with a range of genres covered. Boy oh boy can our residents sing! There was some amazing voices on display. Well done to everyone who performed on the night.
Friday was our games night, with heaps of console games set up in the JRCR. Mario Super Smash Bros always goes down a treat, and Halo proved popular on the night as well.
The weekend wound down the week with some more chilled out events off-campus. On Saturday, some of the residents headed into the city to the Northbridge Brewing Company for a beer and chill. A few drinks in the sun on a weekend afternoon, what better way to enjoy Perth’s beautful weather?! On Sunday, residents headed out on a coffee crawl, perusing some of the best coffee shops Perth has to offer.
The Res Club definitely delivered on Arts Week, with a range of cultural events across the week. Now we can’t wait for Arts Week in Semester Two!
